Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Whole30 plus 91 days of Clean Eating. Mostly.
Let’s see what today brings…
4:15 AM. Alarm. Awake. 2 cups of black coffee.
5:45 AM. Breakfast. Ground beef hash with white and yellow sweet potatoes mixed in with one cup of the veggie mix: summer squash and zucchini, red and green peppers, and mushrooms, all scrambled together with one cup of egg whites . I also had a half teaspoon of local bee pollen.
I made a big mug of green tea this morning for the ride in and office time.
11:00 AM. Lunch. A big green salad with half an avocado and a grilled chicken breast. And spinach in my salad, too. Bonus! The chicken breast was grilled with the same mesquite seasoning Jane used on yesterday’s pork chop, and it was really good. Going to have to add that to the rotation.
4:00 PM. Snack. A sliced Red Delicious apple and a latte made with a double shot of espresso and some steamed almond milk. It’s like my g0-to snack.
6:30 PM. Dinner. One of my favorites. Roasted chicken, potatoes cooked in the TFal ActiFry, 1 piece of broccoli and Italian cut green beans. Instead of using oil in the ActiFry, we used the drippings from the chicken while it was roasting. Awesome.
Whole30 / Clean Eating Observation: Looking back over the last 30+91 days, I think this is the only broccoli I have eaten over that time. I don’t hate the little trees, I just like me some green beans, so that’s what I go for.
So that’s about it for now. Talk to you tomorrow.
9:30 PM. Targeted bed time.
And so goes Step Four: Life After Your Whole30. Today was a good day.
Relive my journey from Day 1.
