Whole 30 Observations Day 30

Day 30!  February 2, 2016.  “It’sAlmostOverWhatAmIGoingToEatNow?!” pt.2

4:15 AM.  Awake to the driving tribal rhythms of the alarm.  Is today the last day of  Whole30 for Jane and I?*  Why yes, yes it is!  2 cups of black coffee.

*OK, the last day of hard-core no B.S. Whole30.  Of course we’re going to stay on track and go through reintroduction for the next couple of weeks.  Big deal.  I haven’t been slapping my arm like a junkie and going through major withdrawals over a cookie or whatever (I said major withdrawals, not minor…). So anyway, whatever Jane and I have been craving, we’ll be able to start adding that back into our diets over the next few days.  Again, according to plan.  Jury is still out on what we’re going to go for.  Just decided – follow the plan!  Legumes it is.  But for today we had:

5:45 AM.  Breakfast.  Delicious.  Mini frittatas, ground beef hash and half an avocado.  You know the drill:

11:00 AM.  Lunch.  Garden salad with avocado and oil and vinegar dressing, lots of cracked pepper.  Always good.  Be even better if there was some chicken or tuna involved.  Yo!!!  Where my chicken at?!?!  Jane’s got some ‘splaining to do.  Still tasty, though:

3:00 PM.  Got home early today.  Gotta love it.  I had 2 afternoon appointments near home at the end of the day.  Both went quick.

Caffé Americano and Apples.  Love me some apples.  Love me some good coffee.


6:00 PM.  Dinner.  Baked potato topped with chili.  Actually one of my favorites before Whole30, but with beans.  There will be beans tomorrow morning with breakfast.  You’ll see…  In the meantime, take a look at this:

I had a nice cold glass of carbonated cranberry water.  I told you about the Sodastream  sparkling drink maker and Knudsen’s Just Cranberry juice, right?  Makes some great drinks!

9:00 PM.  Bed.  Night, all.
