Day 29. February 1, 2016. “It’sAlmostOverWhatAmIGoingToEatNow?!” pt.1
4:05 AM. Who needs an alarm clock, anyway? Up, before the alarm, again. 2 cups of black coffee.
5:45 AM. Breakfast. 3 mini frittatas, some ground beef hash (I talked about these yesterday), and half an avocado. Our avocados were looking a little suspect, so I’m thinking that this may be the end of the line for our last batch of avocados. Darn!
11:00 AM. Lunch. Had a nice little garden salad for lunch. Conspicuously absent from the salad was the avocado. Side of tuna mixed with home made mayonnaise hit the spot:
4:00 PM. Back home. Throwing down a Caffe Americano for my after work relaxation. The little espresso machine does a pretty good job with the crema, all things considered!
Avocado update: Jane reaped the harvest whilst foraging today. Yesssss! Crisis averted.
Whole30 Observation for today (so far): You would think that I would be master-minding the way for an EPIC destruction of food on Wednesday. Totally not true. Yesterday’s discussion revolved around dairy in general, whole milk in particular. Organic whole milk. We’ll see. Again, no one is more surprised than I am about not doing the “I’m totally going to eat ________ when this Whole30 is done!” Zen? I may even be thinking more clearly since starting the program. Jane says she’s actually going to wait until Super Bowl Sunday to have a beer. whaaaaaaat?!?!?!?!
5:30 PM. Dinner. Jane made Tandoori chicken using coconut milk instead of yoghurt, and curry pineapple cauliflower rice. Another winner. Add this chicken to your weekly line-up, it’s that good:
9:00 PM. Bedtime. Somebody’s got to do it.
